FOREWORD

Thank you, we pray to Allah SWT so that the preparation of this “Influence of Robots on Human Resources” can be resolved in time. In addition, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the “COMPUTER & COMMUNITY” lecturers for their guidance and motivation.

Computers and Communities are courses that really need to be developed and understood considering their huge role in education, especially in the IT field with its code of ethics and problems, especially problems that we discuss all kinds of businesses in the world or the computer field.

The author is aware of the shortcomings in the preparation of this paper. Because of that we really hope for constructive criticism and suggestions from all parties for the perfection of this paper.

CHAPTER I

PRELIMINARY

1.1 Background

The progress of human technology is truly amazing. Starting from curiosity, developed into a finding in a real form. Robots are one of the most amazing discoveries in human history in the 20th century. A robot is a mechanical device that can perform physical tasks, using both human supervision and control. Along with the development of technology, especially electronic technology, the role of robots has become increasingly important not only in science, but also in various other fields, such as in the fields of medicine, agriculture, and even the military.

1.2 Identification of Problems

The research problems that the authors propose can be identified as follows:

Understanding robots
Impact of robots in human life
The positive and negative effects of robots in the future

1.3 Problem Formulation

What does a robot mean?
What are the effects of robots in human life?
What are the positive and negative effects of robots in the future?

1.4 Purpose of Writing

Can know the meaning of robots
Can know the impact of robots in human life
Can know the positive and negative effects of robots in the future

CHAPTER II

DISCUSSION

2.1 Definition of Robots

A robot is a mechanical device that can perform physical tasks, either using human supervision and control, or using predefined programs (artificial intelligence). The term robot starts with the Cheko language “robota” which means workers or coolies who are not tired or bored. Robots are usually used for heavy, dangerous, repetitive and dirty jobs.

In Webster’s dictionary the notion of robots is an automatic device that performs an ordinarily function ascribed to human beings (an automatic tool that performs functions based on human needs). From the Oxford dictionary, the understanding of robots is obtained by a computer (a machine that is able to perform a complex set of tasks automatically, especially those programmed by a computer).

Some organizations in the field of robots make their own definitions. Robot Institute of America provides a definition of robots as:

A reprogrammed multifunctional manipulator designed to move materials, parts, tools or other specialized devices through variable programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks

(A multifunctional manipulator capable of being programmed, designed to move material, components, tools, or other special objects through a series of programmed movements to perform various tasks).

2.2 Impact of Robots in Human Life

In this modern era of industrialization, all activities related to humans have transformed from the traditional ones to gradually shifting towards the modern. This transformation can be achieved from the rapid development of technology and each achievement of an activity determined by technology (Technology 2012). The example of technological development is the development of Robot technology. The use of robots now covers all aspects of human life, both in industry and in daily activities.

The use of robots can help activities or human work to be efficient in time of completion, and reduce the level of risk of workplace accidents. Some human work that often uses the help of robotic machines is categorized as difficult, dangerous and boring because it requires a high level of accuracy. Currently, robots have been used as machines that have high automation, have a very important role for humans to use in jobs that are considered very important. Therefore, many companies create and use robots in everything. Some robots are created with various specifications based on needs. These needs can include household, industrial, military, agricultural, marine etc.

Robots are very useful in human life and have benefits in human activities. Some of them :

Humans have jobs that are difficult to deal with, and robots can help each of these human activities. in a task that must have high concentration and a high enough ability, the robot can do these tasks.
There is no disability in carrying out tasks like what humans do. humans tend to be careless in doing things. by robots, work can be more perfect.

2.3 Positive and negative effects of future robots

As we have seen that technology is growing, now we have been able to bring computers that were originally large in size to the size of notebooks, and now we also know the names of robots, whether or not the robot was first created with the presence of the robot positive or negative impacts. The following are the positive effects and negative effects of robots in the future:

Positive effects
Robots can help tame bombs, look for bombs, etc.
Robots can walk freely outside space without oxygen, the robot is very useful for space research.
Robots can do everything that humans are difficult to do, of course with the help of a program that has been installed on the robot.

The negative effects
With the existence of robots can make people become lazy to work, lazy to walk using their feet, rarely use their brains to think, and bodies that were normally normal become fat and bones become shrinking due to clumping fat deposits.
There will be more unemployment because most of the human work will be taken over by robots and there may be riots caused by robots.

CHAPTER III

COVER

3.1 Conclusions

Machines or robots are the right equipment to help human work in any field, but the performance of human resources cannot be completely replaced by machines or robots. as long as we still have the ability to do something work then do it.

3.2 Suggestions

Machines or robots can indeed facilitate heavy or complex work, but the performance of human resources cannot be replaced completely by the performance of a machine or robot. Machines or robots can be combined with humans in the case of heavy work that must use adequate equipment such as machines or robots with human control.
